Centerra Co-op Internships

Centerra's screening process typically begins in October, with face-to-face interviews scheduled for December.


Our internship program lasts 12 weeks, starting in May and concluding early August when interns will give a presentation detailing their experience to their managers and other members of Centerra's leadership team.

Agronomy Internship

Position Overview: Individuals will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with daily operations at agronomy facility, interact with management, employees, sales personnel, and customers.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Mixing of bulk fertilizer
  • Seed treatment
  • Driving tow motor
  • Other agronomy operations as opportunities are available
  • Specific agronomic project to be determined, with clear expectations and goals
  • Verbal and written communication


Projects:

  • Field scouting, ID weeds, insects and disease present, tissue sampling, responsible for Co-op test plot, signage, mowing, maintenance, meeting preparation at plot, other projects yet to be determined.



Requirement At Completion of Internship:

  • Prior to the last day worked, a short presentation to the direct supervisor, CEO, Human Resources and VP of Agronomy Division of their internship experience
  • Presentation will be scheduled to allow for a 10 to 20 minutes review

Feed Internship

Position Overview: Individuals will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with specific projects both at the feed mill, interact with management, employees, sales personnel, and customers. Specific projects will be reviewed at the start of the internship, with clear goal and expectations defined. Projects completed in the past include calf trials, heat abatement, and TMR analysis.



Requirement At Completion of Internship:

  • Prior to the last day worked, a short presentation to the direct supervisor, CEO, Human Resources and VP of Feed Division of their internship experience
  • Presentation will be scheduled to allow for a 10 to 20 minutes review
