Important Update Regarding Centerra's Recent Network Outage

Jen Warden • October 20, 2026

We want to provide an update regarding the recent network outage at Centerra Co-op and reassure our customers that the security of your personal information and data remains a top priority.

On Friday, our IT team identified a potential cybersecurity threat and immediately took action, proactively shutting down our network to prevent unauthorized activity. Thanks to their quick response, there is no evidence that any customer or company information was stolen, accessed without authorization, or compromised. No systems were encrypted, and the threat was stopped before any malicious activity could occur.

Our IT team worked throughout the weekend to thoroughly investigate the situation, restore operations, and implement additional security measures to further protect our systems.

We take cybersecurity threats extremely seriously. While no organization can completely eliminate the risk of a cyberattack, we remain committed to continually strengthening our security measures, monitoring for potential threats, and responding quickly and effectively when concerns arise.

All of our locations are able to process credit and debit card payments again. As all of our systems come back online, there may still be a delay in some of the information visible on customer accounts in Centerra Connect. If you have any questions, please call 419-281-2153.

We want our customers to feel confident that protecting their information is a responsibility we take seriously. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this temporary disruption, and we thank you for your continued trust in Centerra Co-op.
